“The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures”<\/em><\/p>\n

The Good Shepherd puts us in a very good place. \u00a0Do you believe that? \u00a0Are you experiencing it? \u00a0As you look around your life do you see “green pastures”? \u00a0There is a certain amount of faith and trust that is required for us to see these green pastures that God has put us in.\u00a0 For many of us, we look around at our circumstances and see a dry and weary land.\u00a0 Where are the green pastures?<\/p>\n

The Scripture declares that, if the Lord is our Shepherd than He puts us into “green pastures”.\u00a0 Why do we have a hard time seeing them?\u00a0 For some it may be the proverbial “greener” grass of others.\u00a0 We look over the fence at what we do not have and what others do and we cannot appreciate the blessings we have been given.\u00a0 For some it is the “half empty” syndrome.\u00a0 “Yes, the grass is green but it’s really not my color”.\u00a0 Whatever the reason, according to the Bible, it is a matter of perspective.<\/p>\n

God knows your circumstances and has\u00a0gone to great lengths to make sure that we have all we need to experience the blessings that come in green pastures. \u00a0Yet many would say they are not experiencing that.\u00a0\u00a0In Psalm 23 David is trying to give us that divine perspective.\u00a0 That is one of the reasons that this Psalm has given so much comfort for thousands of years to believers.\u00a0 The Lord is our Shepherd.\u00a0 He meets our needs.\u00a0 We can rest (lie down) in His arms (green pastures).<\/p>\n

My friend, if the Lord is your Shepherd, He has put you in a very good place.\u00a0 Ask God to open your eyes today that you may see and rejoice and rest in this truth.\u00a0 The Good Shepherd has laid down His life so that you might lay down in the green pastures.<\/p>\n
