“Your Word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”<\/em> (Psalm 119:105)<\/p>\n

Most people have a favorite verse in the Bible.\u00a0 When someone is baptized at Parkwood we have them choose a life verse to be read at the ceremony.\u00a0 All Scripture is good but there are a few verses that stand out and become the ones we love and commit to memory.<\/p>\n

Probably the most well known verse in the Bible is John 3:16. These were words spoken by Jesus during a discussion with a pharisee named Nicodemus.\u00a0 He had come to Jesus by night asking how to find eternal life.\u00a0 This particular verse stands out in the conversation and has risen above the circumstances of that moment and become one of the most beloved verses in the Bible.<\/p>\n

Did you know that there are other 3:16’s in the Scripture that, by coincidence, are quite meaningful too.\u00a0 Some of them are also verses that rise from the context and give eternal truths to hang on the walls of our hearts…like we have done with John 3:16.<\/p>\n

I thought it might be fun over the next few days as we approach summer to look at several 3:16 verses together.\u00a0 I hope that this short journey will bless you and encourage you to dig ever deeper into God’s Word.\u00a0 It is the “living and active” Word that is always fresh and new.\u00a0 Maybe you will find a few verses that touch your heart and become a pathway to a closer walk with your Savior.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
