Parkwood in the Galilean Hills

We woke up this morning to a beautiful sunrise over the Golan Heights shimmering across the Sea of Galilee. We at so privileged to be able to see this. We went to the small town of Mary Magdela where we saw a 2000 yr old fishing boat discovered in 1986. Very significant to archaeologists around the world because it gives us a great visual for the type of boat used by Jesus and the disciples.
From there we went to Cana where Jesus performed His first two miracles. The first being at the wedding turning water to wine (John 2). The second being a “long distance” miracle when He healed the nobleman’s son in Caperneum while in Cana.
We left Cana and went to Nazareth where Jesus grew up as a child. We saw the location of the only spring in Nazareth where Jesus and the family got their water. We also toured a reconstruction of what a first century town looked like. Incredible!

Keep praying! More later!
